From Staines With Love is the third album from independent indie rock artist Scott Freeman. After the release and subsequent tour of 2017's 'Have Fun Being Single' an album of more complex arrangements and big electric guitars, Scott decided to go back to basics and write an indie record with lots of hooks and lots of heart.

Desiring to have more control over the production of the album, Scott opted to home record all tracks besides the drums, which were recorded at Untapped Talent Studios, Southampton between February and June 2018.

Releasing the first single 'Let's Go' in August 2018, Scott and his backing band the Tokyo Sex Whales toured the UK in the following weeks, including a show at the Edinburgh Fringe. The single was then played on BBC Introducing Solent the following month, the first time one of Scott's songs had been played on the BBC.

In January 2019, Scott began work on the rest of the album tracks which would feature former band mates Herbie Curran (guitar) and Jordan Godfrey (backing vocals) on several tracks.
